Starting about 9:00 Eastern, I started seeing a spike in connections to the site. It peaked about 9:24, and the resulting traffic (tens of thousands a minute) flooded the database connectivity.
Ive blackholed the IPs and fiddled with some configuration settings. Hopefully that will be the end of it.

They must have been attacking the board this morning too. I couldn’t get any farther than the main page for about an hour. This would have been around 7am Pacific.

I “missed” all that because my ^%$&*^ cable connection went iffy on the weekend and then quit early yesterday morning. Corroded connection out on the street pole. Grrrrrrrrrrr! Only took them 30 hours to get it fixed.
