My layout was 65’ long and doubled up the timbers and shortened it to 34’. This is now easier to work with. I also capped the worn timbers with the new Sienna brown weatherproofed 2 x 4’s.
Am I missing something or was the layout downsized to nothing? I don’t see anything in the post

Raising up is always good. Used to be, folks urged one to make it bigger, mine seems to do that as I age.
