Donna Rowson passed away

Some of you may have noticed my non-participation in Mik this year. There were several reasons but the big one was my wife’s failing health. She and I have been battling her Alzheimer’s for years now, with the aid of some superb caregivers.

Sadly, Donna passed away on January 20, 2022. Below is the first image of a photo essay that I spoke through at a virtual get together we had to celebrate her life. We had about 65 attendees, many of whom told stories about Donna. She was awesomely beautiful inside and out and I miss her terribly (I’m certainly not alone with this problem here on LSC).

I’ll be gradually poking my head back out of my shell here on LSC. I’ve also retired so have an entire new set of habits to create. I’m planning to build trains as part of this new world, so you can expect to see some activity from me soon.

My thoughts are with you. I lost my Mom to that, and I just put my Aunt (her Sister) into a Memory Care facility. It is tough, very tough.

Jim,
I am saddened to hear of your loss of Donna. My mom too was lost to Alzheimer’s back in 2000.
