I’m going to wax King James version Biblical and say that you are turning out a great looking ass (donkey)! I’ve never seen an ass in so many pieces before, but I am sure the end product (pun intended) will be spectacular.

Wonderful! How much post print fiddling will you have to do (not sure how you can characterize it: minutes per part?)???

I’m using Siraya Tech “Fast”, seems pretty good for regular stuff.

Thanks Jim, and as usual, you put your finger right on the problem… Let’s just say “gobs” of fiddling per part (eventually). Theoretically, this is a test run, with a final version to follow. So I hope I’m not gonna sweat it too much for now. I hope to get things roughly in place this weekend, at least enough to identify glitches.

Thanks, Cliff. I’ve been using Siraya Tech Sculpt and Blu. The Blu seems to cure better than the Sculpt and the Sculpt is quite brittle. I did the initial part breakup / separation this afternoon, found some failures, and reprinting those.
Here’s a size comparison with the B’man version.
[edit] After my efforts on this, I really gotta hand it to B’mann. Their donkey has a lot of great detail, especially in the piping. And it seems just fine for a smaller donkey (should look up what horsepower it would represent).

At long last, I finished this thing. I had to give up on the motorizing, because the bits of friction in all the joints added up to no workie. Some day I’ll probably have another go, replacing this model’s critical joint parts with ones printed in metal and nylon. That’s why I’ll leave it unpainted for now.
