Does deleting an image from Freight Shed delete it from post?

When I tried to add a photo to my Freight Shed, I was informed that there was no more room. So I deleted a few images. When I went back to read a comment someone had made on one of my threads, I noticed my photo, which was among the images I deleted, was replaced by a blank screen with a red X in the upper left corner. Does this mean that deleting a photo from my Freight Shed deleted it from my thread/post?

If so, how do I avoid this. “Buy” more Shed room or what?

Yes Joe.
You can avoid this by buying more shed room.
Or you can use Flickr or another photo hosting site.

Thanks, Ralph. I deduced as much after I checked in on another one of my threads where I know I had deleted photos from Sheds. Sure enough, more red Xs. I guess I’ll buy more space (Hey, what’s 20 bucks?), but honestly, once a thread loses interest (i.e. no responses) it should be deleted. Of course, how many time have ya come up on a recent post and clicked on it, only to find out that the thread first appeared like two years ago. I guess some folks are just slow readers. Or on dialup.

Bad idea, Joe.
There’s a wealth of information available on those old threads and it’s easily accessible through the search function

OK, OK, Ok, Ralph. Ya had me at “Bad idea, Joe.”

What Ralph said. I still keep pictures around for threads that are 7 or 8 years old. Once in a while I’ll use them again too.

So what are we supposed to do when you reach the limit of the storage 256 mb I think it is?

I know deleting is not the best plan as my butt is still a little sore from the chewing it received a coupla years ago for deleting the “Mining District” pictures because I had ran out of room to add any new pictures ;)

Well Rick, you could become a “pack rat” like me and store every pic you ever took on several different sites. Here, Photobucket, Trainweb, Yahoo, Shutterfly. (and possibly a dozen others) I could probably delete a couple of hundred of them, but I’m not sure which ones are used where.

I pay a few cents a month for here and Yahoo, but the others are free.
