Does anyone make a pinup style car?

I have this posted on another large scale forum, too, so I’m sorry if you saw it already. :) So I have dabbled in a few scales over the years, and found a few things in each that I can’t seem to find in others. When I was goofing with O scale, my wife and I both really liked the pinup boxcars that were available from Menards, an example of which can be seen here:

USA Trains does make billboard cars. But as far as I know, they never made any pin up cars. There were candy, beer, presidents, halloween and christmas wood sided box cars. Probably a few others I’m forgetting too.

Not that I know of. USA has decorated reefers.

I’d get some undecorated cars and then have Stan Cedarleaf make you some decals - you’d have a VERY unique car…

I was thinking decals would be the next stop if there was nothing off the shelf. It would be pretty cool, I think. :slight_smile: How are the decals in terms of ease of use from Cedarleaf?

Aristocraft had done some Norman Rockwell poster freight cars, but not pin-up cars…

As I pointed out elsewhere, if you google “decals pinup art” you will find you can buy stickers, mostly in vinyl, in various sizes of various subjects.

I’d like these to put on some boxcars.

The search terms “pin up nose art decal“ really gets the style perfectly. This will be a lot of fun for the wife and I to choose the graphics together. :slight_smile:

If all else fails you could always get out a black sharpie and make a set of naked lady mud flaps…If you put pins in them they can go wherever you like them too !

you can find all those with a google search of “railroad pinup girls” on google without fighting pinterest. (pinterest makes me crazy)
