Do bachmann switches rust?

I know bachmann track is a no go for outdoors. Are the switches the same? If yes, are they compatible with USA track?

I use bachman track for sidings on my layout (I’m battery powered anyways) They have been out for 5-6 years and still function as rails

As for the switches, you need to cut off a piece on the side opposite of the rail joiner to mate them with other tracks like USA or aristo. They are solid and show no signs of rust whatsoever after 5-6 years outside.

I have not noticed any deterioration on the ties with either the hallow track or the switches.

John,

I asked this same question and it was fully discussed last October in this thread…
