Discontinued Stone Sheets at Lowes

I stopped into my local Lowe’s home center today and found these discontinued stone tile sheets at 50% off ($5.49 per sheet) in the tile section. I plan on using them to make stone foundations, retaining walls, and maybe even a stone building.

The sheets are 12" square and are made up of individual stones on a mesh backing.

Would be great to cut up and glue inside Evans boxcars for weight.

I stock up on that stuff every time I go to Lowes. I’ve used it on several different buildings.

Last time I looked it was still readily available in this area.

Hmm, I’ll have to check around here. I paid about $10 for the tile when I copied Ken’s Grist Mill build. I would like to stock up on a few at that price.

Clicking on Don’s link and puter machinations revealed $10.90 in Tucson.

No Sale prices here…

Thanks for the heads up, Rob. Unfortunately, I’ve been looking for that stuff every time I go into Lowes up here, even at regular prices, but no joy… That sandstone-colored stuff you got is perfect. You are the lucky one!

Just went to my Lowes. 10 and change for a sheet and plenty left. No mention of being discontinued here, as of yet.

The two Lowes by me, only one carries them. The PA one never had them.

Just a heads up… if you are searching the Lowe’s website, leave off the leading 0 of the item number. otherwise, it will say no matches found. Enter just 255450 in the Lowe’s search box. I had this problem finding them at first.

I did find them in Lehighton PA Lowe’s this summer.

Checked at my Local Lowe’s this week. Gone, but not forgotten. The tile guy said they were quite popular, and he doesn’t know why they were cut.

I still have a sheet and a half left. At the rate I use it that’s probably enough!
