Jane arrived in the “Bluestone Southern’s Bluefield yard” and boarded her engine and caboose on the Bluestone Southern… She departed the yard, doing a backing movement over the ““Swing Bridge”” just outside the yard, then headed forward out towards Stoneybrook Junction & Tower… She proceeded south towards Oakdale Junction & Tower, maintaining her priority by taking the main… At oakdale Junction, she took the south fork of the “Y” and still maintaining the main to memphis, she passed thru Sparta, gliding surefootedly along the rails… shortly after crossing the river, she arrived at ““washout Glutch””, where she had to stop the train, as the maintenance crews had not yet properly dressed the new ballast off the rails at the washout, however, she did a wonderful backing movement just past Sparta to Oakdale Junction & Tower… She then took the other side of the “Y” and running along the EVWR Mainline, giving one of this approving smiles, as she glided on around and under the Hilltop Subdivison Bridge…
When she hit the end of the line, she again, had to make that backing movement all the way back to Oakdale Junction & Tower... Upon arriving at Oakdale Junction & Tower, she then proceeded to run the Industrial Siding mainline, still running backwards, till she arrived at the Rock Cliff Junction & Tower, at which the Hilltop Subdivision starts it's southeast run to Evansville....
At Rock CLiff Junction & Tower, she then proceeded forward, down thru Bluefield, past the Stoneybrook Junction & tower and headed back into the Bluefield Yard…
The inspection run seemed to have the approval for the Bluestone Southern’s trackage…
Since this was a last minute decision run, no photographers were called, and hence, no pictures were taken, unfortunately…
