Dinner is served

I am alone on my birthday. My lovely bride is at a deaf camp for youth. She is hearing impaired and an extraordinary woman and a great role model. But alas she is not with me and my children are teens and have better things to do. So after a hard days work in the sun I made myself a birthday dinner. I was asked to show my presents well this one is from me.

Zucchini Ravioli stuffed with ricotta and hot Italian sausage, roasted elephant garlic, garlic bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, and finished with a Red Mascato wine.

For dessert I will be having a blackberry rhubarb crisp with homemade vanilla ice cream.

I take care of me good.

Devon good for you.

Looks like a good birthday dinner! Can I come over? Happy day to you!

I don’t often brag but one thing I can do is cook. And this is oh so good.

dang that looks great. Again happy birthday!

Dessert, blackberry/rhubarb crisp with homemade vanilla ice cream.

OK, so now we all know that you can cook. I better see something great that you are going to share at the next club meeting at our house. You know the potluck we have at every meeting. I’m looking forward to a great dessert or side dish. Don’t forget now.

Gee the last time I had dinner by myself on my birthday I just got a pastrami sandwich and a coke from The Hat. Was years ago…

Happy birthday, Devon!

I always bring something good. Did you eat the chicken with peanut curry sauce and rice noodles at the last one. It was delicious if I say myself.

Yes I did, I just didn’t know who brought it. LOL

BTW, I hope you had a great birthday. See you soon.

a one person birthday party has a big advantage: no bad company!

Are you sure about that ? !

Happy Birthday. Now get to work on the railroad!

Happy Birthday!

As my wife tells me - I “cook” a mean PB&J - that’s the limit of my cuisine abilities

if we agree, that “bad” depends on the point of view of the one throwing the party - yes i’m sure.
