It’s fixed now, but the gates have been stuck on UP crossing at IL 176 for hours. Two cop cars were there turning everybody back. There were no railroad people in sight, nor trains. I asked them, “Has anybody thought to call the railroad?”
About 20 minutes after I asked, the problem was solved.
“Guess not, eh?”
Oh yes, the cat is having kittens under the porch. 3 so far. One black. One black & white, and one black with white spot on the nose. Given that it’s a mostly feral cat, I didn’t investigate any closer.
