OCD struck like lightning…
The true test is… can you find anything, now.
I’ve thought about pegboard for hanging my plastic, too. Hmm…
I thought a messy shop was a shop in production…A clean shop toooo much spare time on ones hand not doing any work or projects…
That could be true for some. I have the Defense Contractor Aerospace disease…Like to keep it orderly, lends to rapid design and fabrication. I have built 9 buildings since I was turned on to this hobby by my brother. Really got going around last Thanksgiving. Got 1 in work and 3 on the drawing board and I have a “skunk” works project I am researching. Different strokes, for different folks. The pegboard for my plastic will help so I don’t have play find the needle in the haystack every time I need something. Plus I have to make sure there is room for the BMW in the garage. Landlady don’t like parking car in driveway…
Still way too neat.
I’ve found that my projects go a lot quicker now that I keep my work bench much neater. I used to have 3 pencils, just so I had a chance of finding one. The same with knives, though now I’ve got 6 of them. Now that it’s neat, I can find the one knife that I’ve been using. I’ve done the messy workbench before and see no benefit in it.
John, It is just the way I am. That’s why your nephew Mikie about pooped the last time he came over…Holy Cow Batman, a orderly garage for the first time ever.
Thanks Bruce. I agree. I don’t like “hunting” in my workshop…
Harumph! A clean work bench is the sign of a sick mind.!
That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

Who said anything about being retired? Not me. Gotta have a good paying job for this expensive hobby.
