Did Ebay change their search guidlines again?

I like to check Ebay daily for large scale trains to keep an eye on values and just in case that piece of train equipment that I cannot live without comes up for bids…

I used to type in the search bar “G scale trains” and on average 15,000 plus items would come up. Something changed recently and typing in g scale trains would only have 3000-5000 items show up. I then tried something different and typed “Model Trains G scale Trains” in the search bar and over 20,000 items showed up! Oh Happy Day! LOL

Yesterday something happened and now no matter the combination of words related to G scale trains I type in I can’t seem to get more than 3000 items?

Did the train market crash over night? Doubtful. Did my wife hack into my computer to limit what I can see???

Is anyone else having trouble on Ebay and what do you type in the search bar to bring up everything related to our large scale trains?

Thanks Jerry and Matt. I tried your links and Matts is closer to what I used to have with over 20,000 items. I did my own search with the words

“G scale” and came back with over 10,000 items. My search looks the same as yours but you are getting double the results?

I’m gonna have to keep digging here.

Also, if you put a specific scale into your search ebay loads the results up with everything they have in any scale there is, plus they add stuff that isn’t even relevant. It really chaps my stuff!

Yeah, I think if you include “G scale” in your search, it shows everything that has the letter G or the word “scale”.

However, you can go to “Toys and Hobbies”, then select “Trains and Model Railroads”, then select “G scale”. Once that comes up you can save the link.

With the link Matt provided I’m seeing 20,000 plus items but when I try to replicate it I’m still only getting half of that. I’m really starting to think my wife hacked my computer and blocked Ebay somehow. If she blocked it totally I would be suspicious but the partial block I’m thinking I did something wrong. She is a clever woman. LOL
