boy you are one to be pointing fingers, angle fish among others …

I had a college roommate who began letters* to his girlfriend back home with “Dear Angle,” but I never said anything of course.

*anybody remember writing letters???

Not to derail the discussion or anything…(https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I got a sweater with a letter on it, once. Close enough?

A scarlet A???

Nope, a Yellow T, funny man.

Is it done yet?

No and in fact I am declaring myself DNF. I had to give into the head. I was going to push through but I had to remember rule #1 and I wasn’t having any fun. But I will continue to plug away on it. At any rate here is where I am with it.

First off here is the barrel and transfer pump.

I am pretty darned pleased with this I think overall it is a very nice likeness. I am proud of that.

Here is the operation as it stands

And finally Steve FearherKyle said my steam winch needed a steam wench engineer to operate it. So introducing May Belle, the mine engineer for the Inlow-Whitney. She is tough as nails, as awnry as a bull, and dmn nice to look at as well. (Okay use your imagination, my sculpting skills do not align with the pictures in my head).

I did run up against one major error that will need fixing. Somewhere I mis-measured the ore cart. It is much taller than I had written down and I can’t build the tipping table at the level I currently have the cat walk at. I need to lower it a least an inch. So I have to lower it a bit.

I forgot a close up of this detail. From the beginning I wanted to have a piece of exposed under-roof. So this building was originally shingled and they came by later and laid the tin roof over the shingles. A wind storm lifted some of that cheap ass non-Taylor tin.

Enter what you got done, certainly looks impressive to me!

I think you’d better start over! Oh the shame!(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)

I agree with Vic, claim the (fat-head) exemption and enter what you have. Having experienced those head aches I’m impressed with your efforts.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

I will. When I get back on Thursday I will do some glamour shots and post what I got.

The combination of the two structures has character, and the interior detail is very lifelike. The glamour shots will be spectacular…you done a real good job there pardner.

What? You got something better to do on Wednesday? (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

I don’t know about better but my work thinks its important. It’s training to keep my certification

Agree with all of the above. enter what you have and claim you are modeling the construction of a mining scene … hard to model a construction site if you get finished. The whole scene looks great but the oil drum and pump are top notch. When you go back in for surgery, ask the Doc if she will install a manual blow-off valve bypass so if the new PRV gets fouled up again, you can just open the bypass and relieve yourself (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Dan that’s the problem. It’s the intake pipe that is plugged. She tried a manual bypass no luck though.

Thanks for the complement on the barrel and pump. I mean for all the work I have into everything that’s my favorite part.

When you get to feeling better, I would love to see how you built the pump. It is a great replication of the one you were trying to model.

Need to install an air burst system to keep that intake screen clean. Nothing fancy, just a tube with a single check, so the air line doesn’t get filled with brain juice, and one of those booger suckers you use on kids. When you feel the pressure building, just a couple of squeezes and you’ll be good as new. Talking about a whole new meaning to the term “air head” … Wait a minute, why do simple tasks get so complicated…we’re only talking about brain surgery … you will also need to install a vacuum valve between the booger pump and the check valve, otherwise you’ll only get one squeeze and no way to suck air back into the booger chamber.

Devon, I am thinking about you and I hope you take my light hearted humor As nothing more than an attempt to get a smile and a chuckle out of you during this difficult time. Keep your spirits high.

The details are great. I really like where the roof is peeling back. Miss May Belle looks good from the back but the front… that nose!

She reminds me of a cross between Kathy Griffin and Lois Griffin! LOL

All i have is humor and God and God has a sense of humor too

Oh and Dan will definitely put together a tutorial on that pump. It is not the last one u will need and it easy

I almost spit my coffee out. I think miss May Belle looks great except the face; front back and hair came out nice. But you right that nose. May take a file to it.

Start out with”plastic surgery “ on miss Maybelle, and pretty soon you will be doing your own brain surgery “ because it looked easy when she did it!!!enter it it’s way better than any old 2x4 portal !!
