These pics are of Dave’s railroad. He makes excellent use of the available space. Its an operating railroad with many features, great scenery and a great host.

Thanks for the visit Dave!

Neat Pic’s of a great loooking layout…

Hey, thanks for the pics, makes me wish for Spring to get here that much sooner so I can go out and start operating again myself. Dave’s got a real nice operating railroad.

Dave indeed has an amazing layout. Here are some more pics

Hey, that is super neat! I guess if the sun’s shining right I’ll get down to Dave’s one day.

BTW is there a track plan to go with that?

Thanks for the look at a well known , really operating railroad . Some really good scenes there .

Yeah Dennis! And did you see them GRADES!!! :D ;) :D

André and Tim, many thanks for the Christmas present. Thanks to Dave, too, for creating such a remarkable layout. There are so many good ideas evident in those pictures that singling one out seems silly, but the loading dock for the rock-filled gondolas, complete with downhill slope, is simply brilliant.

Yes HJ , Dave uses WORKING locomotives on the grades and trains . Had to watch the slides and video again , so enjoyable .

I know that it would be too long for youtube , but wouldn’t a on board video of a train during a operations session , be a real pleasure to watch on DVD ?

Welllllllll non-working locomotives at the head of a train wouldn’t get you very far, would they? At least I’ve never seen that happen.

I should have said , due to the grades and loads , those are hard working locomotives pulling the loads on the grades . My locos have a easy load and work , pulling on the flat lands . They were operating from the wire today at just about 36 F degrees , brrrrr ! The waiting shelters were appreciated by the public today .

Dennis,

Do you ever get hoar frost on the catenary? that would be a sight! I remember the fire works on the proto on really cold winter nights!
