Delivery dates for Märklin LGB® items

Hi all

For those who are still looking for “production” dates, the GARTENBAHN profi published a list with what is scheduled for when.

It is in PDF format. Open, print, store.

is there a english version?

Not so far, but you can cross reference to the LGB “New for 2008” brochure and the LGBoA website with the appropriate item numbers.

Seems to me that they are not TOO interested in an on-line production of an English version - so far. Not that it bother me any, as I am a German speaker. But for the majority of folks on your side of the water I'd guess it's a big problem.

But it is not a good presage for things to come - most of the ‘civilised’ world speaks English, not German.

PS - my wife wants to know why there isn’t a version Welsh, Basque, Irish or Manx, let alone Romantsch.

Hi TAC,

I think your wife is being a little unfair with Märklin. I checked with Anna and she said the Welsh version has been delayed because a container of excess Hungarian vowels and consonants has been misplaced in shipment. The Basque version will not be forthcoming since the exploding box car has been dropped along with the rest of the Toy Train line. There are some software issues with the Irish version and no one has been able to locate Manx since the move from the old factory. So many cats lost their tails that Manx no longer stands out.
However, the Romantsch edition will be out shortly. It’s just too large a market to ignore.

As HJ says the English speakers will just have to put up with the Arabic version.

Basically it boils down to: use Google or Bablefish; be happy, don’t worry.  The English translation could show up … perhaps next week.

Hay /I would be happy with a spanish version. Then I could get one of the illeagles in the neighborhood to read it to me. To bad more of the German focks don’t try and sneek in.

Geoff,

No problem translating all that stuff. Except I’m not in the mood.

And for those of you who have a British background but have for some unaccountable reason forgotten the original language of the British Isles -

'My apologies to those of you who do not have the Welsh. I forgot that there are some people in the world who not speak the language.

If there is anything in the Marklin catalog that really interests you, please let me know.

Greetings from North Wales’

How about the Romulan and Klingon language versions? Then again no matter which language it is printed in the production schedule might just be wishful thinking.

How about the Romulan and Klingon language versions?

Aren’t those languages built into the new decoder rings?

You gotta be versatile, the following

40049 *DR Schüttgutwagen Set 4 St. 207,00 􀀁 11

is the NA ore car set done up in DR livery, projected delivery date Nov 2008

Imagine that, eh!

I didn’t think so, but if the Ventilators spin at just the right RPM you shoould be able to detect “the meaning”.
