Crazy idea to buy a DeHanes dome and alter it to 1/32 scale. Didn’t realize it would be that big,or heavy. So took some off the bottom, put seats in and changed the seats in the dome. Had to modify the ends also. Got Gary Raymond ball bearing pickup up wheels for the new lights. David Leech made me some nice strong trucks that track great! Compromises had to be made to get it to come out.
I was worried how the proportions would come out and look with my MTH Santa Fe coaches, but I like domes. LOT more work than I thought. I had done a UP dome before, using a USA dome part I cut down and added to a MTH coach. So it ended up a little wider, but not changing that. That is thick aluminum!
I think it looks fine in with the other cars, especially from my deck!
Minions did sneak into the dome.
