As you may have noticed in my other thread, I seem to have acquired a pair of Aristocraft pacific tenders. Both are painted/weathered as if out-of-use.
Both have non-standard plastic wheels, and the SP has the wheel bearings still wired so they could pick up using proper wheels [if you can find any that haven’t broken due to age. I can see regular metal wheels being able to pick up alternate sides.] The UP tender with only 3 axles is very light and appears to have nothing inside, so I didn’t bother to open it.
The SP tender seems just about complete. I opened it up - had to drill out 4 of the screws which are totally rusted - and there is the usual aristo sound card (volume knob visible on the bottom pic,) plus a NiCad rechargeable, speaker, and wiring for truck pickups and the hall effect chuff sensor. No sign of the latter.
Maybe they were decoration at the engine depot and were left outside? Anyway, could be used as spares or decor. Anyone interested for a very nominal charge plus shipping?
