Above article is about the last survivors of Pearl Harbor meeting for the they call the last time.

Is it just me or is it sad to see what has been termed “the Greatest Generation” fading into history?

Today is a good day to remember that Old Soldiers Never Die .

As long as we remember and cherish what They did for all of us , They will live forever .

No, Vic. You are not alone. I also believe they were the greatest generation. But then again I’m a little bit prejudiced…my Dad was a Pearl Harbor survivor…USS Detroit.

Warren

At 62 I feel blessed in that I served in the Navy with vets of WW2 at the end of their service , and worked 41 years for one company , working with several vets till they retired , and not often , but rarely , we wouild be taking a break , and they would speak of experiences , briefly . The 2 electricans I learned from , were both vets , and one was shot down over Germany in a flameing B-17 , and burned , but parachuted out , and was catured and in a POW camp the rest of the war , they were men , for sure . I am glad I learned from and worked with these men for years . As well as family members who served also , one Uncle who was on the USS Birmingham , and I looked it up and read of all the action it was in , my uncle never spoke of it to me as a kid .
And I think of the young service people now in harms way , doing their jobs , like my nephew is .
