Got only a little bit done, Painted the facias white.
Now its time to roof the darn thing. Even with the extension, I think that this year I will fall into the DNF category.
Back at the hospital for the 25th night. Things are getting a lot better, 2-3 more days is the guess.
Got the roof installed… WAHOOOOO!
Got to get the flashing on, but the hard part is done. Every piece had a diagonal cut on it, except the 2 center ones, but they had to br cut down.
And I got the door installed, and the windows glazed and the sashes hung in. Stuck them in the holes.
It’s finally coming together.
Time to start worrying about the nit picky things. Door knobs, Handles, Lights, floor…OH Yah, the smoke stack… That just may well not make it in time…
GREAT NEWS. My best friend was released this evening from the hospital. 28 days, 16 in ICU. Still on Oxygen, and will need several weeks to get back totally on her feet. I get to sleep in my own bed tonight.

Finally got a good nights sleep, and that left the day for Mik’ing.
Got the flashing done on the roof, and around the cupola.
Got the handles on the service door and the overhead light. And the corner flashings on all sides.
And the Front door knob, and the overhead light.
Got a start on the smoke stack. This will be a turning on the lathe. I will leave a square on the base as a mount.
I’m going to try to make it look like a brick stack, so I measured out the courses, and used a saw to cut the grout lines.
For the top, I cut a final.
And the stack with the building.
I have to fabricate a tool to cut the vertical grout joints, and then try to paint it up to make it look like brick. The base will have Taylor Stone of course.
Wow, the smoke stack looks amazing. Nice to have the right tools and know how to use them. You did a great job on the flashing. Mine is not quite that neat. What do you use to adhere the tin and flashing to the building?
@Dan and all. To hold my Taylor Tin down, I Use “Power-Tac” that I pick up at Hobby Lobby.
Is it special, I don’t think that it is any different then “GOOP” or “E6000”. BUT I like the smaller, narrow tip!

Been MIK’ing all day, good progress.
Started by making the tool to cut the grout lines. A chunk of 1/2 bar stock, and a few minutes on the milling machine .
Then set to work on the Smoke stack. Turned out OK. DECIDED THAT IT WAS NOT GOING TO BE RED BRICK, BUT CONCRET BRICKS.
A couple coats of Gray concrete primer, and start of the stone base.
And I like the top.
Got some other detail stuff together.

I’m finished !!! Stuck a fork in it and called it DONE!!
MIK’ed all day, and did the little thingies. 4 hours left, and I’m throwing in the towel.
