All told, a glorious day for a trip to the country, complete with hens, chickens, goats and wasps! Just kidding - the wildlife didn’t affect our enjoyment. Hot sun and slightly dry so we even saw some steam plumes. Here’s our host and his new gazebo, complete with antlers.
My EBT hoppers, of course, and here’s #12 hauling them:
At the rear is my new RYM caboose, and I also brought the standard gauge boxcar, which was re-trucked by the EBT for its trip down the narrow gauge:
Scott’s “Tenmile” Mason Bogie made an appearance and ran like a watch - I understand it hadn’t been out for a while so he was pleased.
Jason had his ‘Peveril’ and his IoM coaches:
Jon’s wreck train is always fascinating, complete with the trashed K-27 frame! He gave us a demo of the r/c on the crane later. Don’t know how he stuffed all the motors in to it!
Roy’s 4-4-0 and coaches:
Jim’s Regner “Konrad” (and Chia-pet trucks ?)
On to the standard gauge action.
Noel (The Colonel) brought his latest eBay acquisition, an Aster 'Schools" and a set of the UK coaches made by Accucraft. We did tell him that ‘blood-and-custard’ wasn’t quite the right color for his engine.
Here’s one of Ray’s locos, an Aster NKP Berkshire.
The other was waiting in the wings - Aster Challenger:
Our host ran his ‘Daylight’ #4438.
Here’s the Daylight cooling off in front of the gazebo.
Apologies if I missed anyone’s name/loco. There was more - I just didn’t photograph everything running.
