The restoration has successfully been completed, and the old girl has been fired up, to run on the D&S this weekend…she sure looks great in the pictures I’ve seen…a lot of hard work by a bunch of dedicated people, has brought this project to a successful completion…great thanks to them all.

The elegant lettering on the tender sides is a real touch of class from a bygone age.
Now everybody can re-letter their Accucraft model in good health!

I would not get tooooo excited, I heard that she had probems with 4 cars, not sure she will make it to Silverton with a full load next week, we will see…
David;
What do you mean by “…a full load…” ?
#315 was not known to pull as much as the Mikes, that the Silverton uses in normal service; so I wouldn’t expect to see 315 pull more than 6 cars at the best of times over the pike to Silverton; nor would I expect that the guys at Durango to expect much more.
The fact that 315 is even able to operate at all in this day and age is something of part marvel, and one heck of a lot of great dedicated work by a fine bunch of people.
Let’s show some optimism, when talking about #315…

I’m not in Durango, or anywhere near there, so I’m not in a position to post pictures of the 315.
As most of the people know: I DON"T TAKE PICTURES< AND GAVE THAT UP YEARS AGO.
“David” seems to be from out there, so he should be asked…
There is a web page for the 315 project. I think you can Google it at “D&RGW 315”, or something like that. There you can see pictures of the whole project, and I’m sure; any runs she makes.
Yes;
Follow the links, and you will find the whole story about the “Rebuilding” of # 315.
Thank you, David

I wish her well, I did join the Society at Railfest, but I think people can be too optomistic in expecting too much too quickly.
From what I hear, it will be sorted, nothing fundamental, but it will take time.
Can probably get an update on Saturday.
Just give her time.
Some photos I took on first steaming:

That’s one nice looking little loco! Congrats to the restoration folks!
David - Durango, . . thanks for the pictures.
Did not see my most reliable sources, but the impression I got was that everything is stil good to go.
Wil be back in Durango on Wednesday, will find out the latest.
Do not know if anybody here was on the photographers special this weekend, they seemed to be having a good time.
Went to Dolores for the first time last Friday, very nice little town, Mrs came away with a lot of information on local property…
Sorry
Not paying attention, and we went passed before I could get my Camera out.
Anyway this was at Needleton, so very close, 315 is spending the night at Silverton!
