Large Scale Central

D&RGW Speed Restriction Sign

After a recent trip on the Durango & Silverton, I noticed round speed restriction signs.

Last year I made some flanger signs. Now I wanted a speed restriction sign for the loop section of the layout.

A tube, a disk, black paint, and some left over decals. Voila, a speed restriction sign:

Looks nice! 10mph is about normal for my railroad, so I don’t know that such a sign would constitute a slow order.

Thanks Kevin. Yeah 10mph or less is pretty normal for our freights. However when the San Juan is coming down the line she’s gotta keep on schedule.

Such a simple thing adds so much more realism to your great layout.

Nice. That’s a great photo location. Looking at the first picture it took me a few moments to determine if that was the prototype photo or your railroad. The tress and the rocks all look very much to scale. What helped gave it away was the hoops over the ties which I assume is to hold the track in position. I wave a few similar devices on my line.

Great photo indeed, Nice work on the sign.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
