I decided I would attempt a kitbash with (Bachmann cars) trying to replicate this car but using only what I have from the kits (cosmetically wise).
Hi David:
What colour did you paint the trucks ? ( paint mfg and paint colour )
The painted trucks are far more interesting than the usual black plastic.
Thank you

(Almond)
Same color I use to replicate concrete as well (used on my viaduct)
I’m thinking when I have time to play with my newly acquired JS cars I might try and take a stab at replicating the Chambersburg. She was a 38’ footer but a lot of similarities to the prototype of this thread.
Might have to use some Phillips Heads on this build. (when it happens) because it’s all pure speculation until it actually happens …
Wish me luck Gary!

Since that was such a smooth build, research other cars for that RR. Build a couple more. Add the Bachmann American and run the consist at all your diesel buddies RR. Why stop now? Or send it to me…
I think I am John but the information is very limited for the early to mid 1800’s cars . Still kinda want the Pioneer (2-2-2) but don’t wanna make it either. I think Bachmann should make it then I could kitbash it .
69 huh?
OK , fixed this old thread as best as possible.
This one looked oddly familiar - perhaps because I’ve actually seen it in person? Or, just because Rooster makes memorable stuff? I dunno…
Back in the day in the hood Mr. Chandler
