Cvp airwire rf1300 problem

Hi folks,

I have an RF1300 controller that is giving me trouble. Unlike my other rf1300 controllers, when I switch this one on the green forward light blinks for 10 seconds and then goes to solid green. Unfortunately, even when the light goes to solid, the transmitter does not appear to be communicating with the trains.

So far, I’ve tried new batteries and removing the software chip and reinstalling it.

Has anyone had this happen to them before? If so, is there any hope to salvage this contoller?

Not to ask the obvious but, is the controller and receiver on the same frequency & address? Is it just the green light flashing? Not the green and yellow? (my yellow is very difficult to see) With the controller off see if all the buttons are working and none are stuck down especially the #9 key. If I remember correctly you use #9 when turned on to enter programming mode.
My son broke my 1300 last fall. Even though it’s listed as obsolete CVP was able to repair and update it. It cost me $20 plus shipping. So, there is hope. If you can’t figure it out call Al at CVP he has always helped me out.

Also, let us know what you find out to add to the knowledge base.
