I have been looking for a modern version of the Occidental tank cars in G scale. I got some in O scale.
I could order some cars from USA or MTH, and re-paint them and add decals. I was wondering if anyone here knew how many cars make a minimum order for the custom runs like the stores do?
Maybe I could contact RLD and see if he was interested?

I think USA will do custom reefers in 50 or 100 a wack.
I don’t know about modern tankers.

I run both scales. I prefer 1/32. There’s a lot of cars that aren’t available in that scale. I can scratch build but it takes me too long. I bet the tanker would be easier, if there are parts available.
I tried talking with USA a while back about doing a dark blue CSX SD70MAC. They said they would consider it in the future. I believe they were already working on a re-run of them that I didn’t know at that time.
