Cumberland Model Engineering

Reading a post on the 1:20.3 Yahoo site. I saw a posting by Dave Queener. Dave and Don Niday have been friends since 2001, when I met them at the St. Louis Narrow Gauge Convention. Our long distance friendship has lasted over these years and I became a customer buying 1:20.3 standard gauge trucks and some dual gauge railroad ties. The posting by Dave on the 1:20.3 site prompted me to spend an enjoyable bit of time going through Dave’s website.

This was fun, because I remember when the Machine Shop was just being built.

Certainly don’t mean to create a problem by violating site protocol, but if you want to see how this hobby can mushroom, look over Dave’s site.

Normal disclaimer, I’m just a friend and appreciative customer.

He normally doesn’t work in a 3 piece suit, it was filmed on Sunday after a church service.

That’s a cool place. Been to his site a number of times but never ordered anything. I guess I just don’t have room for a standard gauge track anywhere that would look good.

The site is here: Cumberland Model Engineering

Bruce,

Did you see Don’s Narrow Gauge car kits?

Did you seen Don’s Std Gauge kits?

This is a 36’ SG boxcar running on 3’ gauge trucks. EBT did this all the time and here’s the proof!

Good one , Pete .

Mike

Yea, the EBT had an overhead crane system to swap out trucks. And they had special NG trucks to use under SG cars

Pete,

Yes, these guys have been leading the charge on 1:20.3 standard gauge for the last 15 years.

Things to watch and dream about.

Great looking train!

Ric… I certainly agree. These is good folks… (http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/smiley.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cheesy.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)
