CP Holiday Train 2014

Today on the Chase, Kamloops, Savona, Ashcroft segment. The weather is good and I’ll start early to catch a few more trains prior to the CPHT.

The water and air temperature differences are at the point where fog builds up over the lakes/rivers. How long that keeps will be the other question, I’ll find out soon enough.

You take care out there, and don’t let the night bunnies getcha.

Looking forward to the video

The trip was a bit shorter than originally planned. Funny how one has time to “think about it” when getting back in the car after standing in the wind and cold for an hour.
Chase was the perfect spot to catch the show, setting up in the right spot meant only a minimal number of heads getting in the way.
A young man was filming using his “Drone”, but I don’t believe the flight time was sufficient to film the whole show.

I’ll get to the editing ASAP.

PS on the fog banks, they moved up by a few hundred feet — so much for those neat pictures. BUT at that level the fog caused hoar frost and as it lifted and/or dissipated it looked like a band of snow at that elevation; nothing below and nothing above.

Problem #1 - Drone

Solution to Problem #1 - 12g

Result - Fixed.

sigh…won’t play for me, anywhere…:=(

tac, shat on, again.

Thanks HJ
Nice to see something other than You-tube!

Thank you HJ,

At 2:10 I liked seeing the young Mom and Son rushing to get closer at the park - then the Engineer acknowledging them with the toots!

Also, I never have heard or seen the band… great job.

Thank you, Gentlemen!

@ tac Have you tried to by-pass the hoopla by using HOLA http://hola.org ?

I’m using it to get access to more Netflix content, one day Netflix showed the American line-up of their wares — we poor Canadian cousins are treated to a whole lot less — and I figured there had to be a way. Turns out HOLA is the way.
