Part of the my garden railroad is modeling a part of the old L&N line into St Louis, which became part of CSX, then Leased to the Evansville Western RR
nice job but your picture is not showing up. A link is but no picture.
Just in awe of the size of your spread. Nice work on the repaint Andy. You doing them or a friend taking care of that.

Geoff, I know the second pic’s not showing… Don’t know why…
Our RR has a lot of covered hopper traffic to the bakery, plastics, and pharmaceuticals.
I am new to this site, so once I get the hang of it, I will be posting one of a kind covered hoppers that the CFO would like me to lease or sell to another railroad.

Welcome to the website, Lou…

yup, ralph… I didn’t catch that… thanks
Glad to meet you all. When I get the picture thing worked out, I will also post under the weathering thread. (not tonite)
I’ve learned a lot about weathering and rust. People thought I was crazy because I went around taking pictures of rust. But my rust has at least 6 layers, different colors. Some go darker to the middle, some lighter. But the big thing I learned is it TAKES TIME! Probably a good 6-8 hours work because of drying between layers.
I promise pictures when a get a storage yard in the Comcast Yard.

OK, here’s the first shot at a picture download. I had O guage decals for Domino Sugar. It said the car should be gray -BORRRRRRING! So I based the paint scheme on their packaging. Here it goes:
(http://home.comcast.net/[email protected]/models/dosugsm2.jpg)
Hmmm it shortens the URL. after the word comcast should be .net/models/dosugsm2.jpg OK, now I’m really confused because if I click on properties for the URL, it lists the full address. Looks like a Comcast issue, so it’s back to their site. I might have to create a personal website, list the pix there and provide a link. What a pain, I’ve got a railroad to run!
Lou… I click the link and it tells me… ““Sorry, the URL your looking for cannot be found””
There’s my problem. To call the image from my Comcast space, I need to use my userid. My userid is my email which has a special character “@”. The posting of images here does not allow special characters.
Hmmmmmm? I’ll keep working on this, but I give up for tonight, I’m too frustrated!
Lou get a photobucket account they’re free Welcome aboard
Lou,
I have comcast as well but you really need http://photobucket.com/ or the like …makes things easier
