Covered Bridge build pics

Mr. Hines asked if I had any build pics. I have a few. Took me a while to find them.

Great Job, too nice to put outside and leave there. Did you saw all your wood on the table saw, I hope you did, it would be very expensive to buy it all. We don’t have many covered bridges here in Texas, is the side where the tracks don’t go for autos, walking, horses, etc.

John,
I personally didn’t saw it. My brother has a cabinet shop and he sawed all the pine substructure and cedar board and batt.
The Cedar shingles are from Ozark Miniatures.
The side is for exactly that purpose you asked about.
The smoke vent on the top was an after thought. I was going to put in three vented cupola’s, but went with one dormer instead. The paper wasps thanked me for the build by moving in. I have to oust them all the time.

I remember following that build. Again, beautiful job John.

John,

Wow. Amazing build. Quite a bit of detail hidden inside…

Did you find plans or create them yourself. …and how long did the project take?

Beautiful. That Grex stapler looks mighty handy. I have their pinner.

Thanks for the kind words.
I drew the plans up myself.
Jon, after wearing out my first pinner, I upgraded all my fastening tools to Grex: Brad, Pinner and stapler.
They have not failed me yet. And I’ve got some miles on them. I bought the stapler just for shingles.
