Coupler pockets

Several of you have inquired about coupler pockets from my PS2CD4427 project. I’ve looked into it & here’s what I have come up with.

These are not intended to be used as-is, but a pattern for mold making - hence the hollowed out part of the center sill. The cost for one copy from Shapeways would be $45-$50 in “frosted ultra detail”.

They are designed to work with Kadee #1 scale couplers.

If there’s any interest, I can make them public in my Shapeways store.

Very nice indeed. I have a bunch of questions, if you do not mind. . .

Which way is up? Is the lid above or below the pocket when installed?

What would be the changes required to make this compatible with the Kadee Large Scale couplers? (If you have any guess?)

Thanks!

Lid is on the bottom.

I don’t have any “G” couplers laying around to compare to. I think the box would have to be quite a bit wider to give a full range of motion though.
