Coupler change

I recently ordered and received a 4 bay hopper, undecorated. I assumed because it was a USA car, that it would come with the hook and loop couplers. But I was wrong. So now I need to change out the couplers that it came with to the hook and loop, as all of my cars are hook and loop. The H&L system seems to work best for me. I have a brand new package of H&L couplers, but they do not seem like they will fit. What mods or piece(s) do I have to use to? The car came with a conversion kit, but the instructions say it is for converting to Kadees. I have attached pics of what I am talking about, but I’m sure most of you here don’t need the pics to understand what my dilemma is. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I could call USA trains and ask them how I should/could fix this. But I would rather here from you guys Thanks, Shelley

Shelly,
They appear to be the diecast trucks USA uses on their tank cars.(I don’t own any 4bay hoppers) I cut and drilled the arm for Aristo couplers as that is what I use. You could do the same for your hook and loop or you could body mount the hook and loop couplers but if your looking for a conversion from USA(hook and loop) I don’t think your gonna find it. These are the Ultimate Series cars ?

So I guess I'm modifying. I would think I could use the long piece, don't know what to call it, that is shown in the 3rd pic, right next to the hook component; and the 4th pic. I would need to route out a piece to fit around/over the axle?
