another one next to it is the first attempt at ploughing/plowing this year - it was 27F and the gas was NOT behaving too well…

However, it IS in HD and the steam and sounds are great.

Well, to ME they are great.

BTW, the Shay, the very first one sold in yUK ten years the coming March, has now clocked up almost 500 hours running without a hitch. Note, too, the new AccuCraft drain valve fitted - totally reliable as well for reasons I don’t fully understand, having read other folks’ comments about them.

Happy steaming in 2013!

PS - Nephew Dick in PO, note the cabside…

Well tac you know im always interested if its live steam. Looked good in the snow. I agree my drain valve works great.

Me too. Looks great on the side of your Shay :)

Jon - ALL my 1/20.3 locos, Shays, a Climax and a Heisler [but not the Connie nor the K27], also belong to the Port Orford Coast RR. As I mentioned before, they are the other end of the longest short-line in operation anywhere in the world, all the way from Port Orford, OR to here, with an as-yet unclosed minor ‘gap’ of around 6000 miles or so.

Here in yUK we are intensely proud of our firm commitment to providing the folks of Little Bandon with quality lumber products via the Foley Fast Freight Forwarding agency and its fleet of a truck. The company logo, a flying F, can be seen proudly displayed wherever the truck appears in public.

Best
