Hey, just as long as I can have fun, and build something I have use for, that what interests me.
No comments or suggestions on the prize pool?
Anyone want to jump in here?
Anyone want to sponsor a prize pool? or category?
Cough up a token?
I think we are still waiting for our fearless leader to explain some ch…changes…
I loved the story telling, but I was in conflict; to write or model?
My build logs are rather dry affairs because they usually are an after thought. By that time a drudgery.
Ok The shy kid in back spoke up, next?

Oh HOLY S**T. That’s my kind of choo choo train. As an former Marine “Gun Bunny” and a model railroader this is perfect. David can I build this one. . .Please!!!
OH Heck Dave I guess missed the part where we were offering up a prize, I am in.I will pony up a set of cast arch bar trucks if someone wants them. I still like the first timers category, but any category would be fine.
I can provide plastic wheels or leave them off so the winner can use their own metal ones. There will be a sliht variation in that I am doing away with the cast springs and will add in coiled wire ones. They are an attempt to look like a wood beam style.
Hello Dave and All…I have three thoughts:
I have a really cool Colorado and Southern ink drawing of one of their cabooses set in a nice frame with glass and a little plaque and all that I would like to contribute as a prize. I know someone will really like it.
I’m suggesting, if it isn’t already true, that the rules allow the O/On30 guys to participate, especially thinking here of Doc Tom; we wouldn’t want to lose him over a technicality!
Finally, let whoever wants to vote publicly vote publicly and those who want to vote privately vote privately. The voting is really a lot of fun and so are the awards. I think we’ve all shown we are grown up enough to handle however the voting and awards come out. And, besides, the enduring reward is that you get a cool build for your layout accomplished to your own tastes and to your own skill level.

I think if it has a category on LSC it should be allowed in. I for one would lie to see Doc Tom play shoud he choose to do so. So I second that motion.
Dave I could cut some scale strip wood as a prize again this year. last years package of wood was cut to 1/24 scale stuff. I believe it went to John Passaro. Let me know… Travis
So does the contest start at 12:01 tonite… (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

It should be open to any member of LSC, they can pick the scale they model. The fewer rules and restrictions, the better. Oh those are my opinions.

Thanks John and Devon.
On30 can get pretty creative and weird if it needs to:
Thanks for a nod to the “smallest of the large scales.”
Might have a small 1:48 yarn that could be used. If not, I will be in there rooting for all the Big Boy Trains. The Challenge is really a lot of fun to read on a daily basis and there are wonderful ideas and great modeling concepts that can be used in any scale.
Doc Tom
I would actually sencond John C. I woulnot mind some creative HO or N or Z or T
Well the garage is clean. The man cave is clean. And inventory of parts has been taken. And the ball is sliding down the pole (somewhere). I am ready
Lets go!!!
Wait my shop didn’t clean itself yet! Oh my!
'N Senor Dave needs to give us our morsel of an idea to build on…
I was countin’ rivets, but only got up to 799…
John
So do we get the theme for the build after midnight ?
Thanks John and Devon.
