Council needed: "cold porcelain"

i am trying to make a figure, that is less fragile than the milkmaid i made from plasticine/play-putty. i try out with two different masses. durepoxi from loctite and cold porcelain. while i have used durepoxi and similar stuff before for plumbing, i have not the slightest idea, how to work with cold porcelain. anybody can enlighten me? (already tryed to start out to make the points of gravity for the next maidens)

Most young maidens would be pretty frightened of the above model…

Greg

Zaftig or Ruebenesque seems jto fit these models.

Back to topic, what is cold porcelain?

I make figures from polymer clay…

thanks, John.
the link about cold porcelain told me something i needed to know. that stuff does not hold up in the rain!
so i’ll have to use other materials.

Polymer clay is great stuff, Korm, if you’ve never tried it. It’s fine outdoors too. I like Premo Brand myself, but your mileage may vary. Some are easier to work with than others, softer, etc. Premo is one of the firmer ones. I have no connection to this retailer, but I subscribe by Email to their sale notices:

You can also buy the stuff in art/craft stores, maybe other places… It comes in many colors, it can be blended, and it takes acrylic paint as well. There are very fine online workshops for figure-making.

well, that is part of my problem, that neither sculpey, nor premo are sold down here.
