Hey folks. I know most of us have tried and used George Schreyer’s methods for ‘Cheap and Dirty Corrugated Metal Siding’. And if you are like me, I didn’t much care for cutting up the Aluminum cans (without cutting myself) and the high oven tempitures and time required for the Annealing process. Wanted to let you know I ran across some tooling foil at the local craft store that works great!! It’s called “Maid-O-Metal” and is manufactured by St. Louis Crafts, Inc. One time through the crimper and it’s perfect! I picked up one 12" X 36" roll of 36 gauge Aluminum tooling foil for $5. and one roll of 12" X 36" Copper tooling foil for $10 (this Craft store is not known for bargins). I have had one piece of the Copper outside for about a week now and it is aging nicely.
P.S. The Copper solders well also…
They have better prices on their web site…
