Large Scale Central

Construction on The Sunny View Line

The nice weather allowed me to get the passenger siding in. Not powered yet, but soon.

The switches I pulled from the yard lead will allow me to add another passing siding here. The siding should have been to the right to begin with. More room for industry. Thinking about pulling a switch and some track from the freight siding so it is no longer a pull through.

Here is what I come up with. I believe a little more interesting than another pull through siding. I should be able to fit 4 or 5 industries here. Ralph

Looks good, Ralph… Operations abound…

…winking…

Nice trackwork.

If I'd been thinking I'd left one of the Battery/RC locos out of the boxes for you to run while I tear our line back up!

Well, at least by the third time you should be getting things right
I’m glad you have that loco packed up. If I tried it, I’m sure I’d want one.
Now if the railbender isn’t packed yet…
Ralph

it’s not, you need it? lemmie know!

I may use it to straighten up what i have down, but after that I should be down for a while…

I have a bunch of aluminum R1 I’d like to open up.
Let me know when you can part with it for a week.
Ralph

The Bender awaits, lemmie know when you’ll be down this way, I’ll have it a the shop for quick pick-up!

removed all my track and sub-bed in less that 2.5 hours yesterday-took over 2 days to get it down.

When is the big move?

The wonders of a railbender. First change made…sorta a test run. Unlike HJ, I like “S” curves. However, with R1 curves the train just looked bad going through. Didn’t have any derail or uncouple problems, but didn’t like it. Here is the old “S”, using R1 curves.

New and improved, using around 8’ diameter curves. Much better

Yup. Bigger curves always look better. That’s a nice improvement.

Lookin’ good Ralph. Gonna do all 'dem curves 'dat way

I’m sorry, but I am not going to tell a guy ““Nice curves””… It just ain’t happening…

Nice track re-alignment, Ralph…

Same thing the black wires doing, just on the other side of the tracks.

Jerry next time you put track down you might try cleaning your glasses first.

I’m bending track Jerry. I’ll worry about hiding wires later. Opened up one more “S” . Also the curve in the bottom of the photo. I’ll have to redo the yard lead. I’m going to try and bend all the curves so that they are continuous and eliminate the short straight sections.

Like that view Ralph. Looking good
