Nice work. Did that rooster shat on your store roof?
Wow!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I’m just tickled to get something done and happy it turned out usable.
But I think I’ll invest in some new Quickcrete before I pour any more

I need some opinions. There are several ways I can set up the platform on the Sunny View Depot. With the platform roof even with the Depot roof, I have to slide the building back so there is walking room in front of the benches. If I goe this route, the roofs will be lined up properly. It’s just leanin for now.

Korber depicts the platform roof positioned like this.

So, this is pretty trivial, but which do you prefer ? Ralph
My vote goes with the forward position and the roofs lining up. Why? You could make a dash for the station in the rain and stay dry!
I would go for the roofs lining up also… that way, your covered from the station door, to the bench…
Aesthetically, I like the “Kober” position. Practically, I agree with Andy on the “forward” position.

Aesthetically, I like the "Kober" position.
Ditto with all the other opinions…

I like Korber as well. Just looks better to the eyes.
It appears so far that we have 3 votes for the “on center” position , 2 votes for the “forward” position and then 1 vote for ditto with all the opinions!
I’m with Ken if that helps
Jon Radder said:These were my thoughts exactly. I'm leaning toward roof forward, as railroads tended to be practical. Ralph

Aesthetic, Sethshemetic. Go with practical. Keep the payin customer happy. And dry.

I decided to go the practical route.

Unfortunately my poor planning quickly became evident. The curve coming out of the station swings the end of the coach across the platform. Although I can adjust the building on the pad to make it work, you just can’t have the back of the train mowing down spectators on the platform.

So it looks like I’ll have to move the station back to it’s original location on the longer straight.
