JUst in case you are nt visiting the other place Bob, I dumped a copy in here. I managed to get hold of a brand new Connie for £250, which for the UK is a real steal. What is more amazing is the the CFO let me buy it two days after parting with some hard earned for a Heisler I took the opportunity to re-read Bob Baxters love affair with his Connie and it was there I found the answer to my question. What question? Well I really never liked the cab all sheeted in at the back and the solution Bob applied I have shamelessly ripped. He’s got a nice pick of the Georgetown loop C-22, #40 and some nice shots of his modification to his Connie. I got out my saw and here we are. Did the usual relocation of the Headlight and swapped around the bell and the dome. Next up will be a shorter, new pilot and a few cosmetics. I think all that baker stuff will probably go too. At least it looks like its in the right part of the world now. You can say what you like about the prototype being obscure, but there is no denying it remains a wonderful model. Nice one Bob
Cheers
