Large Scale Central

Congrats to Ray Dunakin- MRH

When flipping through the April issue of Model Railroad Hobbyist, I found Ray Dunakin’s name associated with a new column feature in MRH. He’s one of 6 rotating authors, so I’m excited to see what Ray can contribute to MRH, and help expose the smaller scales to the wonder of large scale!

If you haven’t checked out MRH before, be sure to check it out. A high quality magazine for free!

Nice - Congratulations Ray!

No surprise there. Congrats!

Thanks guys! I got “volunteered” to write the first column, which I’m currently trying to get finished up.

Shooting pics has been a bit tedious with my 4-6-0 is out of commission. I have to move the train around and pose it manually to get photos! Once I’m done with the photos then I’ll be sending the loco off to be fixed.

Congratulations Ray!! I will be glad to see some more large influence in MRH mag. I have been reading it for about 2 years now and like the magazine and the digital format.

Oops, small error on my part – I’m second in line. Dave Meeks is doing the first column.

Well Ray, it is YOUR FIRST article. Maybe not the first to be published in the series, but I am still looking forward to reading yours and the others. I am getting a feeling of much more scratch and bash modeling coming from this group. Bring it on!!

I have also been a reader of MRH since its inception. I like the whole digital format and the very reasonable price (free!!!). I too will be looking forward to more Large Scale articles and inspiration. I notice that Ken Patterson has a few Big Train tidbits in there from time to time. Ken did all those great 1:20.3 Bachmann ad photo shoots.

Looking forward to your creativity shining through Ray.

As always. Great job.

Is it real… or is a Dunakin?

Thanks, guys!

apart from getting introduced to something new - the magazine - it was impressing to see the whole town at once.

“oh, yeah, that was the building with the…” moments on every page.

really well done!
