With fear of producing yet another “Me, too,” response…
Me, too!
I thought the boxcab was very well done, an inspiration for us all. The article was well written, too.
Bravo Zulu.
Wow, fame at last!

Thanks guys. That was a very fun project and it’s a great runner. It was exciting to see it in a magazine and the check was a nice touch!
In the article you mentioned getting the windows laser-cut. How expensive is that? What do you need to get it done?
Ray,
I got them from Phil Dippel for about $10 or so. BUT, he was in a lull…right now he’s planning to move from California to Colorado, so no idea what his availability is. Plus, I might have had an in, as I came up with the measurements for his shorty caboose…still not in production…
It’s an interesting question…where else do folks get laser cutting done?
Bruce Chandler said:Congrats on having your article published. Now I can say I know a famous author and tell everyone I saw your boxcab in person long before the article.

You never know where you can get laser cutting done. I had a styrene logo for work made on a laser by a guy who does plaques and awards. I wanted to have it cast, he suggested a 3D laser cut. It came out great.

Congratulations Bruce.
It was a great article.
