Cold weather

Be sure you bring your Brass Monkeys in for the next few days/night

Li Ion batteries don’t like the cold either

Negative temps for the next few days in the NorthEast

disconnect your bgarden hose too.

I use air to blow out the garden hose water. Easier than putting away the underground hose!!

And make sure there’s plenty of firewood piled next to the woodstove…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Yep, cold last night, actually turned on the patio heater as I sat in a short sleeve shirt and smoked a cigar around 8pm. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Watching the news, it looks terrible out east… climate change is here…

We’ll think of you the next time Saint Andy starts shaking, and chuckle. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Did I said that out loud?

This “polar vortex” ain’t nuttin new. When I was a kid, we just called it winter.

Just like every other winter. I have the skis waxed and the line all clear for some fun winter running. I live for this stuff. Just ask Ken

Cold enough to freeze the balls off a pool table.

I live @ 20 miles from downtown Chicago and it was crazy cold ( -50) . As of now it has warmed up to a blustery -6 degrees. I’m very proud of our little chihuahua , she went out and did her business even at the coldest times .

My AmStaff, who also has a short coat, has been doing the same

My boss, in his infinite wisdom, scheduled me to go to Tonawanda (Buffalo) New York on Wednesday. It was rather surreal, driving on the snow covered NY throughway, at 25 to 30 miles per hour, with only 2 other cars behind me. I didn’t make it to the customer’s location until Thursday morning. I am so glad my boss planned this one as an overnight, because by the time I got to Tonawanda, I went straight to the hotel.

I again requested my boss get me a four wheel drive truck like the survey guys have. The answer is still no, I have to get around in the front wheel drive Transit Connect, just like all the other techs.

David - Sorry to hear about the bad trip. On the bright side, maybe that van will rust away. I have had the unpleasant pleasure of working on those hunks of junks. We have a fleet of them at my part time job. In Massachusetts they spray the roads with some kind of de icing liquid that loves the thin recycled beer cans our vehiclues are made from. Many of our vans are rusted hulks. we Have had the same cold here. I haven’t seen many inches of global warming this year. That’s fine with me.
