Coke Train ad ( found in the other forum )

Hi Guys;

OK, I’ll admit it. This ad made me tear up which of course is the design of the ad.

Love the sound of the steam cylinder stack exhaust.

Everybody wins.
The historical restoration organization invites membership. The Coca-Cola folk made the ad happen with good feelings from those watching as the payoff. The Brand is good! Coke celebrates good experiences - no one refused to drink.

WOW. As a crew member of the 315, One of the things that make all the mucky, dirty, greasy work worth it all, is seeing the awe and thrill of little kids and big kids too, when they get to see a real steam engine alive. Taking a 7yr old kid into the cab while she’s hot, and watching the awe on their face is inspirational. I often wonder what there dreaming at that moment when they reach up and just touch the throttle. Or what ever becomes of the little lump of coal that you hand to a kid? What kind of special place does it end up in when he get home. And the memories evoked each time he picks it up and dreams.

Sometimes after shoveling tons of coal, it gets pretty hard to see the joy your work has brought to many other people, and then a 6 yr old runs up and thanks you with a big smile, and then you know why you do it.

Norm, great link. Thanks for posting.

Beautiful!

I’d take up drinking Coke if they delivered it to me like that. :slight_smile:

There’s always at least one spoil sport, isn’t there?

Great video, too bad it was for Coke and not Pepsi…
