Coach kit

I finally started working on my 4 wheeled passenger kits I had bought a while back. ( Twin Mountain models) Between the Micro layout, Sammie conversion and the sawmill I put the coach kits on hold. I got one completed, almost done with the second one and still have to start on he third one. Its a fun kit with lots of small pieces.

I know Rooster not your cup of tea  but too bad

Kiit

Completed (I know I went against all the rules of the backwoods but I really like they way the coaches looked with the colors)

Nice Shawn.
I think smaller coaches are in my future. But not quite that small
Ralph

I can hardly wait to see the entire train!

I’d have to step outside to change my mind…

Nice build, though.

Very Nice Shawn. Are those kits still available?..

Those will look pretty kewl behind this thing…

Oh crap, now i have to buy two or three of those;) That looks awesome Shawn.

Cool little cars. i like the color too. Passengers are gonna get cold without a stove though.

Terry

Lol thanks guys I figured most would not be interested in the coaches.

Ken that was my thinking for the coaches, the size will look good behind some of my smaller steamers.

Those are nice kits, I’ve seen them at the shows. I’m too heavily invested in Lil Haulers now to consider them. They should look really nice on the layout.

Who says?

Suppose they had an abandoned/lost five-gallon can of some random color laying around a loading dock somewhere and the backwoods manager says, “I don’t give a damn what color it is…paint the damn car. I don’t want it rotting out!!”

p.s. I love the color, really cool, I might steal it.

Couple of comments. These are 7/8n2 coaches, so while they might look good behind a 1:22.5 Regner loco like Otto, they will tower over it.

And I just got an email flyer from Ozark saying they are now carrying the Twin Mountain kits, complete with hardware.

Pete these are the ones from Ozark. Ozark has them as 10ft 1:20 scale cars. I wonder if Ozark downsized the original twin mountain models kit. The Coach measures 5.5 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 10 inches long. When I compare it next to the Otto it is almost identical in size (Otto is a tad taller)

I just checked Ozarks site and it looks like they make the coaches in two scales now 7/8th the original and 1:20th. Both have different sku #'s http://www.ozarkminiatures.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=777

I wonder what the size difference is. It does say the 7/8th is more detailed inside.

Thanks Shawn, I like the looks of that combine too.
