Large Scale Central

CN back on the Okanagan Sub

Sunday was the first run back into the Valley. It was slow, slow, slow. Crews at every crossing, checking all manner of stuff.

Asked one of the foremen when he expected the train to show up - they were making sure the switch to that siding worked. “Hmmmm … you’re not terrorists, are you? That really would make my day!”

He figured the train would to be another half hour, yeah right!

They were crawling along at 6mph! Anyway video coming up.

“Hmmmm … you’re not terrorists, are you? That really would make my day!”

He must have seen your LSC photo?

Nah, it’s likely some more of the culture to the South of us is filtering into the GWN.

:stuck_out_tongue:

As opposed to the McKenzie Brothers filtering south…

Yeah well, I’m reading the “Alex McKnight” series by Steve Hamilton. Really amazing how Canadian beer features in those stories. Must be if you live in the UP of MI the BCB (Better Canadian Beer) could be a factor.

Absolutely, we laughed the rest of the afternoon about it.

The in joke/smart quip in our group will be “Have you got all your terrorist stuff along?”

BTW that’s why we wear HV vests, makes it easier to see us.

Living in the LP of MI 35 years ago, I could buy Canadian beer cheaper than domestic.
So, when we weren’t drinking German beer, we were drinking Canadian beer.
