Chuck Inlow's Repair Cradle

Here are the plans for Chuck Inlow’s Repair Cradle

Chuck Inlow’s Repair Cradle Plans

I saw the post on rolling stock carriers and it reminded me that I was going to work on acquiring Chuck’s cradle design. I have not only a completed one now but I have the pieces for another that I can use as templates. What I don’t remember is are people wanting me to make them for them and they can buy them or are people wanting the plans so they can make their own. I’d prefer the later. I could make them but I have so much i need to do for other people and I am not doing any of it so I would likely disappoint. I don’t have the CNC router that he did that cut the pieces automatically. I have to do it old school. If someone really wants one and does not have the means to make it or have it made I could likely get’er done.

Devon

I would like to get the plans so I could make my own. I would also have to make it old school.

Devon,

I would like a copy of the plans if possible.

I was waiting to get one from Chuck, but things happened before I could.

I’d love some plans too. I use his plans for my loco transport/storage and have been very happy with it. I am soooooo far behind doing my loco maintenance that I feel sorry for my bearings…

Thanks in advance, Devon!

I would love a set of the plans, Devon.

Plans please!

Yes plans please Devon

Okay sounds like plans will work for you guys and I am sure Chuck will smile at all of you making one. So I will work up a set and make them available at no charge. It is not a difficult design.

Since I now have been guided through Fusion I can not only provide a generic set of plans but can put it together as an .stl file if some of you have access to a CNC. Try the local college or if your lucky like I am the local high school who has a trades program. Usually they work for free if you provide the materials and files. Just a thought

The download worked fine. I was able to open the doc in Libre Office, but there were not photos in the document. Suggest saving the document as a PDF and try that.

I re-uploaded it as a PDF. Hope this works better

@Devon - PDF works perfectly, Thank you

@Rooster - Great find, I had forgotten about that thread. Some good ideas in that thread

But I did find this

I was wondering about that thread, which has my name in it a few times. I did get one from Dan, but had to pass it on to my pal Jerry, as it is way too big for my workbench.
