Christmas is for Children

Reminiscing with myself (they can’t touch you for it ) about Christmas and Children , I recalled some of the comments made by Parents to Kids .

Do you recognise yourself here , in these quotations from times past ?

" You’ve spent all day with your friends , why do you need to phone them ? "

"And when I say eight o’clock , I mean eight o’clock , not half past ten "

"If you think you are going out looking like that , you can think again "

“Don’t come running to me if you break your leg”

"When I was young ,I got an apple and an orange for Christmas and that was it "

“You want HOW MUCH ? I’ll just go pick some leaves off the money tree , shall I ?”

and my favourite ----'cos it was true–how did she know ?

"And don’t pull faces at me behind the door , either "

first equal with

" And go and change that vest , what would happen if you got run over ?"

Happy Holidays .

I think I’ve been through the entire list with my kids…and I’m sure my Mother did the same… Had to be my brother…it wasn’t me…!

My daughter’s favorite remark was, “I only need…!” My response usually was “Do I look like Daddy National Bank?”

Kids, can’t live with them…can’t live without them.

To heck with the kids…I wana play with the toys before they break them…!!!
