Hay everyone. Tonight 12/12/09 was my open to everyoen one Christmas party. Well it rained. but I did get to run sometrains and Santa was here before the rains set in. As some or maybe all of you know I am collectiing canned goods for the food bank here and for backstoper and org. that helps the familys of fallen Police and Firemen. WE, me and everyone that helped with the party collected 700 dollars for backstoppers and 459 cans of food to night. I think this is great and just love seeing the good side of people. Just thought you all might like to here this. Also the trains were as big if not bigger of a hit then the lights were.
Geoff, Very cool, and thank you!
Holidays often bring out the best in so many people. (Doesn’t make up for so many being right ba$tards the rest of the year, but it’s a start – One customer everybody I work with calls ‘The Dragon’ actually said “Thank you” the other day… I almost fell over from astonishment)
Sounds like your evening was a success, for its purpose, if not for the weather. Sorry that we missed the event, the weather won out over us. Today, the Gateway Garden Railroad Club meeting is at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Hope to see you there, Geoff. But will understand if you don’t make it.
Geoff, great picture of the ‘Fallen Flag’ MoPac.

A few shots of a local Christmas display I help set up. W@ish I could convince them to do large scale instead of Lionel for the layout. This is the second year and it was kinda neat adding my local structures to the theme this year. I understand a few individuals have already asked where these were purchased?? Daahh…
…and this is your house? tac www.ovgrs.org

Well, we are not setting up the Chrismtas layout this year as my wife ended up in emergency and an extended stay in the hospital 2 weeks ago. She is healing well but things were very touch and go for a couple days. She has no stamina and really could not fathom us putting up the Christmas layout this year. So here are picture slideshows and videos from last years layout. Enjoy and have a terrific holiday season. And remember just how fragile we all are...http://timothydehan.com/redmondcreekrr/videos/2008SantaClausTrainNightRun.htm

Sean, do you really run the bubble car IN the house? You’re a braver man than I!
My two nephew’s ( 1 1/2 & 4 love it!)
That’s why I use the cow engine & caboose!
I do take the bears off.
My daughters love it too, but gah what a sticky mess…
James usually gets bubblecar duty, here… OUTSIDE
