Newquida or whatever its latest incarnation might be. Hammond was the first to import these. They are a step up from Scientific as they are better detailed but operationally they are about equal. People like the cars as they are very affordable clones of LGB type European stock.
Victor, your “…are better detailed but operationally they are about equal.” above, is not bringing up my memory as to how well these locos run. They look LGB – a copy likely. Are they worth buying and fooling with their running ability? I think we had a posted thread at least a year+ ago. Any summary of the conclusions?

Two years old but still valid!I recall on the GSC site someone gave a review. Basically its either stop or go, no real throttle modulation. And running it was always a bit on the fast side. Personally I doubt I would buy one given the opportunity.
I have seen one at an openday, the owner swapped the ‘oval shaped’ wheels for original LGB ones and fitted an LGB smoke unit. It seemed to run quite well, I didn’t ask how controllable it was. The LEDs were bright blue and would need to be changed.
