Chessie GP40 pulling the new chessie caboose

I got the patio done just in time to run a train for a few minutes before it was dark. I still ran it in the dark, but it was too dark to video. I brought out a few pieces of rolling stock and the new caboose. The new chessie sd40-2 will be getting revolution and battery installed this friday. So, maybe next week sometime I can video it. Not much to look at on the layout yet. Just a train and a couple speedy run by’s.

Oh, and you can click the gear icon for higher resolution.

Nice looking train, Matt…

Yanno, a run thru a wash rack, and that CSX covered hopper could almost look new again… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)

lma @ Andy. She may be too far gone and getting close to the scrap yard. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Naw, never scrap… Sell it to a leasing company, they’ll use it for another 10 years…

LOL!! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Sure, the leasing company will give her a paint job, over the rust, and charge a small fortune to shippers who have a use for it.

David, out here, they only paint over the company reporting mark & number, and paint on a new one… Never waste money painting the whole car…

Andy, I have seen that too.

We just cover over the old reporting marks here on the CJMRR . Your railroad and rolling stock are looking good Matt !(http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/todus2/gondola%20load/IMGA0739.JPG).(http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/todus2/gondola%20load/IMGA0740.JPG)
